How the league works
Every team practices two hours a week at the same day, time, and gym. Athletes learn knot tying and belaying, then build technique, movement, and bouldering skills alongside their teammates.
Monthly top rope and bouldering competitions run in four divisions from 5.9 through 5.12 and up, so beginners and experienced climbers compete against people at their own level. Competing is optional.
High School Hangouts run monthly and are free for every Wisconsin high schooler, in the league or not. Add clinics, team culture, and a season that ends with the whole league in one gym.
Next on the calendar
Seven competitions, a conference championship, and State Finals in May. Athletes need two qualifying competitions to reach State Finals.
Is this for me?
Any current high school student in Wisconsin can join. Climbing experience is not required, competing is not required, and every team teaches the basics from scratch.
